I have created a new a organism called the pseudolily. This fine creature has the appearance of a lily pad plant and uses this to its advantage to eat the bugs that land on its flower-looking mouth. The pseudolily's limbs take the appearance of a lily pad's roots, and it only moves a couple of times a day along the surface of the pond in which it calls home. Pseudolilys move very slow when they swim to mimic the floating of a lily pad. Ponds are home to a variety of other species such as fish, turtles, and frogs and many plants such as cattails and shrubs. It is preferred for the climate to relatively reflect that of a temperate forest where it is not too cold and not too hot because those extremes are unfavorable and the pseudolily will die.

I keep telling my doctors that I’m spotting a small creature the size of a mouse running around down in my Jungle Room.  It looks like a jungle in there.  There are layers of plants that they can hide in.  Various ferns line the ground.  Only insects live in there, but these monsters are not interested in them.  My doctors surprisingly they don’t believe me.  I have been studying these Rock And Roll Monsters when I can, but they are difficult to spot.  These monsters are nocturnal.  They have a good sense of hearing opposed to their great ancestors.  They can hear me come into the room and sing.  I am assuming this is how they know when there is fried chicken or hamburger crumbs left on the floor.  The monsters who have better hearing get the majority of the food.  I have also heard their mating calls.  They are imitations of my newest hits.  The male who attract females have beautiful voices.  Maybe if I gave them singing lessons, I could help them attract more mates.  If only..

Hey, Walt Disney,

Last time I checked banana trees were not yellow, but it is the jungle- anything could happen--- Trust me, I know.                           Anyway I don’t know if you have heard, but I have a monster issue and I think Majesty could help me out.  There are monsters running around in my jungle room.  If your Majesty could blend in with the ferns and sneak up on these little devils.  Once I give the guys proper singing lessons (their painful squawks might not bother me as much) I would release them back into their habitat.  And as a reward, Majesty could eat the insects in my Jungle Room.

Of course in this deep part of the rain forest, there isn't much to eat. Majesty mainy feeds on small insects, seeds, and berries if available. With the adaptation of a small digestive system, it doesn't take much for Majesty to stay full for long periods of time! As for climate, Majesties can live just about anywhere except for the cold. HA! Another adaptation. What a wonderful life.

I love the idea of the Majesty. It sounds quite majestic. It fits many of the same qualities of my own bird, The Objectin.

Well Oprah, swag is located in pockets round the brain. When the swag is detected, the swaginoceros sticks their long tongue in the ear of its prey, and sucks out all of the swag. (That's why sometimes you feel a tickling sensation in yo ear).

My animal would be a blue and green bird called the Objectin. One of its ever changing habitats would be a blueberry bush to camouflauge in. In this environment there are many other organisms but mostly insects which is also the main prey of the Objectin. However, it can also eat seeds and in extreme cases a decomposing body. This is one of the many adaptations of this bird that increase its evolutionary fitness. Another very important adaptation is the fact that the Objectin can live just about anywhere, other than areas with extreme cold.

Crikey!  I discovered a new organism!  I'm calling them repto-snako-diles, or reptantis anguis crocodilius.  They're reptilian mates, who live in the hot, muggy salt marshes near the Mississippi River.  They make nests to lay their leathery eggs in the grasses around the river and feed on the fish and birds around the area.  Basically, they'll eat whatever they can catch.  They're venemous-- one bite from their razor sharp teeth and you're done, mate.  The venom is a potent neurotoxin which kills their prey quickly.  The venom allows the things to feed more easily and therefore survive longer.  They also have keen eyesight and a qucik, nimble body, thinner than a crocodile, which allows them to locate prey and nab it before it can get away.  They're like crocodiles, but they're not.  I'd never tackle a full grown repto-snako-dile like I would a croc.  I love crodociles.

Ayn, the Objectin sounds like an incredible diverse animal, but if it relies on the blueberry bush for camoflague its unusual coloration, how can it live just anywhere?  Surely an animal that relies on camoflague would not do very well in just any environment, especially ones that don't have blueberry bushes?

My animal would be called the William, the organism lives in a dark cave by itself.  It eats the headphones plant all day.  2 adaptations that have occured are thumbs so can play Xbox all day and legs so it can walk.

My animal would be a mix of two very interesting organisms, the chameleon and the cheetah; thus it will be called a Cheeteleon. My wonderful animal lives in the grasslands where it is dry more often than not throughout the year. The Cheeteleon lives alongside other animals such as bison, zebras and rhinocerouses. The plant life in the grasslands includes tall grass (obviously) and an interesting plant called Ironweed. Because my animal is a mix of a cheetah and cameleon, its evolutionary fitness is above average. The camoflauge gene given from the chameleon helps this animal not be seen by prey that they have stalked. However, the speed that the cheetah part of this organism hassupplied it with helps catch any prey that happened to see them and flee. All in all, this is an organism that most other animals should surely be afraid of. If only my show was still running... I wish I could do a special on the Cheeteleon.

My animal would be called the Bamasonian Fanesta. He lives in a fiery place deep underground where horrible things are (it is written about in the Bible). It eats little childrens dreams and hates all things good. Some of them enjoy poisoning 150 year old oak trees that have been a tradition at a college forever. It is a yuppy that has adaptations good for its environment. It is evil and blends in with others in Tuscaloosa by wearing the horrible color of crimson and houndstooth hats, which is its' first adaptation. They are also rednecks which helps them blend in with the other southerners and Alabama people, the second and most important adaptation. When people are happay, happay, happay, he kills them and all their dreams. They are hunted by all things good especially those dressed in the great colors of blue and orange. It is terribly evil and hated by all. The William sounds very familiar and would die off soon. I am sure he is one of the Bamasonian Fanesta's.

Hello dear friends do I have an invention for you! My new creature would be called the glickamagoo. My glickamagloo would have twelve fingers, therefore more than we humans do. These would be for multi-tasking and they would have one more adaptation at least two. The next would be camoflauge to hide from their predators, and to hide from those pesky rude editors. The glickamagloo would live in the forest where the deer and the antelope play. Then eat berries and cherries and drink creek water all day. Evolutionary fitness is where they would excel, multi-tasking to do tasks quickly and camoflauge to hide them well. My creature would be great and have evolutionary fitness out the wazoo. The glickamagloo wishes you luck and bids you good afternoon.

Now Jase you are quite smart indead, but this william would survive about as long as my thneedes. They just don't have the right adaptations, and no large variations. I am sorry my boy, but death is sending them invitations. Though good luck I wish they have throughout their years, but no promises on long life for Williams for their ends are near.

My organism would be named Loreto, dedicated to the Sisters of Loreto of which I am affiliated with. I envision this organism to be white and blue colored (like the blue-striped single border saree I wear). The organism Loreto inhabits the mystic forests of Rathfarnham, Ireland, the same place I became a sister and a nun for the Sisters of Loreto. This place is filled with an abundance of diverse and exotic trees and beautiful and soothing plants such as orchids. I believe in no harm or darkness for any organism to face, so to convey a more healthier and strong environment/climate, the trees do not shadow the sunlight casting through for the plants and animals, and also have enough berries and an efficient water source to supply any organisms' needs. I also envision other organisms such as butterflies and birds flying through the air, creating a more tranquil scenery. In order to survive, the Loreto's first adaption is having very long, strengthened arms to capture berries quicker than any animal to consume, because animals should not eat other animals instead, rather keep a mutual relationship; therefore berries are the most appropriate source of food. The second adaption corresponds with the long arms, the Loreto has a huge oval shaped mouth in order to store those berries for consumption and for later use. This huge oval mouth also allows storing other needs for this species' to survive, such as supplies to create itself a shelter in the forests.

Mr. Phil Robertson, I believe your choice of scenery and the whole concept of darkness is absurd. Throughout my whole life I have learned to treat children and adults with care and love, with the reward of goodness and the kind act to God. But it seems as though your 'Bamasonian Fanesta' is far from the ideal Godly and charitable figure.

Dr. Seuss,

I love your idea for an organism! The rhyming is quite excellent as well (: I would love to hear more about this creature as you seemed pretty broad on its appearance, but it seems very fit for the world with all of its adaptations!

My animal would be called a scooter. It would be a bird that is a challenge to hunt because it flies really fast and is very agile while it flies so it can dodge bullets easier. Scooters would basically be a tasty ninja with wings.

Jase, are you nuts? First of all, Williams would not need thumbs because there are no outlets to plug in a Xbox in caves. They also don't have any useful adaptations and would die really fast, especially if they had a hunting season.

My animal would be called a Narcoon. It would be a hybrid between a narwhal and a raccoon, and it would be able to live both on land and in the water. The Narcoon would be the ultimate predator with its deadly tusk sticking out from its head, razor sharp teeth and claws, and night vision eyes that allow him to hunt when it is dark. No animal would be able to outrun the Narcoon on land because of its six legs which give the Narcoon an advantage in any battle or in the water because of its deadly spiked flipper which can move faster than the speed of light. Because of its hairy coat of blubber, the Narcoon would prefer colder temperatures over warmer ones but occasionally it could be found in warmer climates when in pursuit of prey. There is nothing that the Narcoon loves better than a nice juicy polar bear, but it is not uncommon for it to attack elves especially the smiley ones. Because of its deadly adaptations, few animals have ever tried to hunt the Narcoon, but those who have tried all died terrible deaths.

Jase,

Your animal sounds interesting, but I would suggest on not calling it William because species in the past who were previously named William have died out from excessive talking and annoying personalities. Also, what are headphone plants? Are they big or really small or do they vary in size?

Aye doe. My animal is called the Swaginoceros. It is so hot, it has to live in tunnels underground to stay cool. It sucks the water from the roots of plants in order to stay hydrated. Its special sensors allow it to detect swag (its main food source) from miles away, and its dark colored fur lets it sneak up on its prey in a club without being seen. Cool people beware...the Swaginoceros can be found anywhere in the world, as long as there's plenty of swag to feed on!

I have come up with the perfect idea for a new animal!!!!!!!!!!!!! I call it...... THE ORANGE-GLO WORM!!!!!!!!! It lives in the deepest parts of the Gulf Coast where the temperatures are cold and no light infiltrates the depths!! The only predator to the ORANGE-GLO WORM is the Oxi-saurus flounder. The ORANGE-GLO WORM has two adaptations to help fend of the Oxi-saurus flounder: It first glows bright orange blinding the Oxi-suarus flounder. If that fails to work the ORANGE-GLO WORM then secretes toxic floor cleaner through the pores on its body. These adaptations have allowed the ORANGE-GLO WORM to reproduce and thrive!!!!!biggrinbiggrinUntitled.png

HOW SAD IT IS!! Nature lacks the creatures that make me say WHAT IN THE NAME OF BUTTERBEANS!!! This is why i have made my OWN creation of godly awsomness. THE NUGGLE. A nugget based creature that lives in the depths of the okkepenokie (how ever you spell it) swamp, and my very messed up mind. In the swamp there is swamp GAS!! Over the years the gas got to strong. However a mutation, which sadely did not give them laser vision, one Nuggle could breath the gas and live. He then had access to unaccesable hunting grounds and the best food. The other nuggles started to die, while the super nuggle lived and started and entire new branch of his species. That is why nuggles can breath swamp gas. While the nuggles could now breath the gas they started to die off from predators because their nugget based bodys were delicious. Again a random mutation caused one nuggle to have cells that died faster, this gave the nuggles long nails that they could use to claw at predators. This was passed down to his children and the nuggle race dominated the swamp!!!

If you liked this story of the nuggles and you wan a free shirt reply about... how to spell okepanokie... would you want a pet nuggle... and seriously how do you spell okepenokie.

My animal shall be known as the Nachtrubah. It is a canine creature with indigo-deep blue coloured body with the exception of its face, its paws, and its tail. The Nachtrubah has five pairs of limbs. The final three pairs act as legs and the first pair are human-like hands covered in black fur and have longs claws instead of fingernails. The second pair are, like the last three, paws but do not act as legs, but instead claws used to defense. The Nachtrubah also has an upright, human-like torso towards the front of its body where the first two pairs of limbs are located. Its face, although canine, has white-coloured eyes, as though it is blind. It is known for its incredibly fast speed and its agility, as well as its great intelligence. Somewhere in a frozen forest uninhabited by humans in the Norwegian mountains, lives a Nachtrubah. Despite its rediculous appearance, the Nachtrubah is an efficient creature, renown for its ability to survive. Due to its fast speed, the Nachtrubah is incredibly difficult to hunt down, but also makes other species easy prey. The Nachtrubah's human hands allow it to make and use tools, which combined with its great intelligence make it to be a formidable creature. Also, the Nachtrubah's white eyes give it the ability to hypnotise its prey with its blank stare, entrapping them in its grasp. Its humanoid torso gives it a vaguely human appearance, further confusing its prey, making it believe to be encountering a human. Once this is complete, the Nachtrubah lets out is infamous fearsome shriek that strikes terror into the hearts of its prey, freazing them its tracks. The Nachtrubah then arches its back, retracting the third and fourth pair of limbs into the air, allowing its claws make quick work of it prey while still remaining balanced on the remainder of its legs. This fearsome creature dwells in only the darkest recesses of the human mind, haunting its victims to insanity before devouring them. As I always say, "as you gaze long into the abyss, the abyss also gazes into you."

To Steve Irwin:
The repto-snako-dile sounds like a fearsome creature, but how exactly does it secrete its venom? Also, you mentioned that the eggs are leathery, then do the embryos grow an egghorn to break out of the shell when they hatch?

For this post, create an imaginary organism. Describe the habitat of the organism such as climate, location, types of plants and animals present.   Explain at least 2 adaptations that it has that increase its evolutionary fitness.   In addition to your post, you must respond to a post of one of your classmates

My creature is called the sweeter. It lives in the rain forests of Brazil. There, it has a very warm climate with colorful plants. Over the generations, it has adapted to have skin that provides the perfect camoflauge. It also has a flexible spine to allow it to maneuver better to catch its prey.

Hello everyone. My organisms name is the Harpo. Let's get a round of applause for Harpo everyone. WOOOOO!!!! Now Harpo what kind of place do you live in? Harpo: Thanks everyone, I live in a warm climate quite close to the equator. Its very sunny and great weather for the most part. Me: Awesome, and how do you like all of your environment along with your fellow animals? Harpo: The plants are great I love to eat them. lthough I am a meat eater, I love to eat plants. And it's sad for some of the animals around me and my fellow species because they are killed by us. But boy do they taste good! Me: Woah there, dont get too excited. I wouldnt want you eating me. *Audience laughs*  Me: So I'm sure everyone is interested to know your dirty little secret, right everyone? biggrin Harpo: Oh Oprahh. What I do to stay evolutionary fit besides excercising *Audience chuckles* is my long neck to help me reach plants on trees and my long, agile legs to help me catch my prey. Me: Oh that's very fasinating everyone give one last round of applause for our guest visitors tonight Channinng Tatum, Selena Gomez, and last but now least HARPO!!

Good day everyone!

I was just sitting on my front porch and I saw the cutest animal ever called the Destined. The Destined is a cross between a white wolf and a bunny. The Destined has features from both of these animals. It looks like a regular white wolf, but it is the size of a bunny. Plus, the ears are pink like a bunny. There is also a heart on the side of the Destined. This heart can change colors to any color in the world. The Destined seems like such a romantic animal; it has a name that refers to destiny and it has a heart. The Destined and I are both romantic creatures. And if that isn’t enough, it can talk! Now I can make a new friend, and I love making new friends! This animal can live in any habitat because the white wolf lives in cold climates and the bunny usually live in grasslands, thickets, woods/forests, and meadows; however, this animal mostly populates North America like the bunny does. Since this animal can live in any habitat, it has seen almost every animal and plant. Mostly this animal comes across lions and tigers, their predators. Thankfully, one of its adaptations, which is the heart on its body that can change color, scares those predators away. The lion and the tiger are wary to eat the Destined because they think that the color changing heart could be poisonous, thus leading to an increase in its evolutionary fitness.  The Destined is a herbivore and it eats all types of plants, even the poisonous ones. This animal also has the adaptation to digest poisonous plants without letting harm come to it. This adaptation causes every plant to be a food source for this animal, thus leading to a bigger population of its kind, and thus leading to an increase in its evolutionary fitness. I really love this animal, and I think I must just have to take it and make it my new pet.

P.S. - Here is a picture of some of the examples of hearts that have appeared on the Destined! Aren't these hearts so romantic?

Hi Nicki, its nice to have you on my show today. Now, I have a few questions abut your 'Swaginoceros' you speak of. When the swag is located does the animal simply just slurp it up or is there a certain process to this swag stealing

My animal would be called Aurma because its fur would be the color of pure gold. It would live in the Western Desert of Egypt and have remarkable speed, agility, and have a heightened sense of hearing and smelling. It would look very similar to a cheetah. Two adaptations that it has that increase its evolutionary fitness would be the ability to camouflague and an increase in speed in order to escape poachers. The plant and animal life of where it would live would consist of cobras, cheetahs, panthers, foxes, jackals, perennials and grasses. Also, because it lives in a desert with very sparse prey, it can go without food for many days.

In reponse to jkrowlings the pseudolily sounds like a marvelous organism.

If I were to create my own animal it would have long legs so that is could run fast to evade predators and catch prey easily. It would have lots of fur in the winter but the fur would fall out in spring to prepare for the warmer temperatures that come with spring and summer. There would be large open fields surrounded by forests and ponds in its habitats. The forests would have tall trees with many branches and leaves for climbing and hiding in and the ponds would have many lillie pads for insects and frogs to live on. There would be lion like creatures, monkey like creatures, and prairie dog like creatures that would prey on each other and bugs, insects, and small shrubbery. Willie Robertson, although being agile in flight would be useful in some circumstances, if your bird is not smart enough to know that a bullet will kill it, then that application is irrelevant. It would also have to know exactly where the bullet was fired from and at what angle it is traveling.

Good day, Oprah!

I found your guest, the Harpo, a very interesting organism. I have a few questions though. Is one of the ancestors of this Harpo a giraffe? What color is the Harpo?

I really enjoyed your brief interview with the Harpo though. :)

Also, I also loved how you had Channing Tatum as a guest visitor too. heart.gif I just love all those romance movies he stares in, especially Dear John.

Oh wow, i'm going to start by aplogizing to all of you. I'm afraid I'm just not that original.ashamed But since my two favorite animals are cats and dogs (i could never ever chose one over the other) i guess my animal would be a hybrid of the 2. The Latin term for it would be felinis canis but i'd probably just call it a canine-cat. It would have the claws of a cat, in order to climb trees to catch prey and escape predators, and they sharp eyes of a cat, in order to see at night. But it would also have to muscular build of a dog, in order to run for long distances, and have the dog's sensitive nose in order to track its prey. In hot envornments, the canine-cat would have very short, light fur; but the canine-cat would most likely thrive in a jungle or forrest enviornment.biggrinbiggrinbiggrin of course, it would also have to absolutly adorable, and and able to cuddle with. <3

My organism is the Shaqtupus. The Shaqtupus is a land and water beast, half Shaq, half octopus. It is placed in the east covering Florida and half of the Gulf of Mexico. On land, it lives in a temperate deciduous climate with deciduous trees. In water, the Gulf of Mexico. The animals in these habitats are all intimidated when they see the Shaqtupus. On the menu there are bears, squirrels, rabbits, deer, sharks, dolphins, whales, etc. Basically everything there. The Shaqtupus also has a craving for Grizzly bears and dolphins. Umm...yummy.The reason this beast is such a beast is because it is big and flexible, like an octopus, and big, tough, bossly, beastly, awesome, amazing, scary,...etc...etc...,like Shaq. That's a lot of adaptatrions. To some it all up, the Shaqtupus is unstoppable.

So I have the idea planted in my mind that there is a new species of fish within a fish within a fish within a fish. This creature can be reborn from its bones kind of like a pheonix, but cooler. It is called fishception. Its original color is orang-etan purple. It lives in the warm coastal waters of Limbo. One adaptation is the ability to change colors and blend in with its surroundings. Also, it has aquirred 2 rows of very sharp teeth.

If I had a animal it would be called the Nomthanial Jack. It would eat ducks and the Vietnam special. It would live in Vietnam Louisiana and live in the marshes where the ducks live. On adaptation would be having a good sence of humor, because the could distract the duck and then eat that sucker. The Nomthanial Jack would alhe eave handles so it could distract you with one hand and take your underwear clean off you but with the other Hand.

My organism would be called the "Tibber."  It would live in heavily wooded temperate forests, such as in the Easter United States.  Other organisms it would likely encounter on a regular basis would include squirrels, foxes, bears, cardinals, and beavers.  Th population of Tibbers would likely adapt to their enviornments over time with the development of sharp teeth and claws to hunt their prey, as well as brown-colored coats of fur to blend into the enviornment while stalking prey.

Shaquille, I would definitely hate to come across one of of these 'Shaqtupuses' in the wild... Speaking of, does it also eat humans?  One of my co-workers is visiting Florida next weekend and I would like to warn them about the possible dangers of the Shaqtupus.

Today i woke up and the tv was on and they were talking about how they discovered this creature that lives in the arctic. The place were they found the organism was cover in ice and located near one of the earths poles. Some types of plants were present like i think they said arctic moss and some others. Well the some of animals there were seals and polar bears.Anyways it was the stangest creature..it was like a lion, but with the big bulky white fur like a polar bear, it  had webbed feet, not to mention a sixth sence, such as sharks have, and a super strong head. They said that the hard head was for hitting the ice to break it and eat the creatures underneath it, and webbed feet were for it to swim faster, the white fur let it blend in better with its surrounding, and the sixth sense was used to sense prey and/or predators. I guess you could say this was an interesting evolutionary fit animal but, i still like bubbles, my monkey, better.
