1,000,000.

Considering this forum has had questions about Charles Darwin and his theory of natural selection, I decided to enhance my knowledge. I found this online game that simulated natural selection. In this game the player picks three characters to use in their environment. For the next couple of seconds your population changes and accquires different traits, this simulates time lapse complared to evolution. After a certain number of years, a natural disaster or a predator would arrive and your species would either have or not have a certain trait to survive that predicament. It simulated survival of the fittest, which is an outcome of natural selection.

Crikey!  I just played a fantastic game which incorporates the ideas of natural selection.  You create your species with different variations, some with long necks and others with short hair, and then you set 'em lose and let 'em duke it out in the wild.  What's tricky is getting the right combination of variations so they survive all the challenges that face them for a million years.  Something new pops up every millenia or so and only those organisms with traits to help them succeed in those situation survive and are passed down.  With this game, you can really see how species could change through generations of natural selection to better adapt to the environment.  After four exciting rounds, my species finally survived a million years.  I just wish the creatures looked more like crocodiles.  God I love crocodiles.

That game was DOPE! My swag and knowledge about natural selection help me to live all 1 million years! There was all these trippy animals and stuff that you had to pick from. Some got fur, others got long legs, and you gotta pick 3 of 'em that you like. But you gotta think too cuz they gots predators, global warmings, and some tall plants with berries on dem. Wierd. If yo animal has favorable features, they keep on living and reproduce to make more animals with them good adaptations. I think ima go play again! Word.

Good day my fellow friends!

My population survived 888,888 years.

Today, for the first time in my life, I played an electronic game on the computer; the game was called “The Survival Game” which gave me a better understanding of natural selection. In this game, I had to pick three variants to play the game; these variants contained different mutations such as: thin, bulky, furry, hairless, long neck, short legs, long legs, stripes, and many others, and these mutations contained different pros and cons to different natural occurrences. As I played, my population acquired new traits and there would be a natural occurrence/predator that would affect the life span of my population. The creatures in my population that survived were able to produce more offspring than the other creatures, which is also known as natural selection, with their traits in a different way, which is also known as evolution.

Well gee willikers wasn't that an awesome wasy to display evolution, genetic mutatuions, and different adaptations all in one scein-tastic game! Of course, being the natural genius that I am, I made it to 1,000,000 years my very first time around, however I will definitely keep playing. I was quite fond of how it captured the essence of natural selection by showing how favorable traits (long legs to be agile, fur to keep warm, long necks to aquire berries) continued to be passed down while unfavorable ones died off; this is the kind of realistic yet fun game that I would feature on my show.

My species survived one million years until the program cut me off. It really was not very difficult because I just had to pick a logical variation of mutations that would do well at surviving large changes in climate. I believe that the program did a good job of representing natural selection because it showed how the populations of the most successful thriving and the populations of the less successful adapting to the varying weather conditions. If the same circumstances were applied to real life, that species would survive. I also think that the voice of Charles Darwin was a poorly made recreation of my computer's voice. It was quite amusing.

I guess I am better at business. I lived only to 861,111 years. Who wants to live a million years is an intriguing game, in which you choose the species best suited to live in an environment that has constant change.

Hi everyone! Have you guys heard of the cool, new Darwin Survival Game? Well, I played it for the first time yesterday and let me say it was fabulous. I got the score 888,888. In the game, your variation of species goes through a variety of obstacles to determine which will survive and which will die off. This modeled evolution in a cute, and creative way by showing how certain traits will help a species survive through certain situations.

1,000,000.  That was easy and I lasted 1 million years.  It shows natural selection because only certain species can survive and they have to adapt.

I just played a game called "The Survival Game" on a website about Charles Darwin and his Theory of Natural Selection. Darwin walks the player through by first encouraging the picking of three different animals in the same species that would hopefully be able to live and thrive and keep the species going for 1,000,000 years or more. After you choose the three organisms, they live in an environment that like the real world, has natural disasters and predators, and if diverse enough characters were chosen, the species will live the full 1,000,000 years just as mine did. This quick and simple game helps visually explain that the fittest organisms through natural selection survive and change over time to correspond with the environment.

I am glad to say that my species was able to live 1,000,000 years. It is amazing for the first try. I actually found it quite odd the way that over the many years, they could change so much. It makes me wonder what we [ humans ] started out as. This whole game is just an example of natural selection which is just how individuals who have certain traits that allow them to survive which enables them to pass down through the generations.

Hello fellow believers! Today I played a magical game of survial! I recall that the game was named after a guy name Charles Darwin. Anways, in the game you have to choose three different variations of creatures that you would like. Some were tall, some had spikes, some had fur, some had red heads or green heads, etc. The goal was that if you chose the right variations of creatures you'd survive to 1 million years! Too bad for me, I only lived to about 888,888. The game proved to me that the more favorable traits you chose from yor variations, the longer you lived and the more reproduction occured! Of course, unfavorable traits died off after certain natural occurences. Spectacular!

1,000,000. It is easy to live if you are not a yuppy. Natural selection is shown in that there game because only certain animals with certain traits lived and passed on that there trait. The animals with the unfavorable traits got killed off, just like we kill off all the ducks. Winning made me happay, happay, happay.

I played a nifty game!!! It was ALLL about Darwin's theory of evolution through natural selection!! I MADE IT TO 1 MILLION YEARS!!!!!!!!!! It showed natural selection by having differenciants within the species, some had long legs, short legs, some were green, some were red!!! The game showed that only the ones most fit for the environment would survive!! It's a cruel world out there! THAT'S WHY WE SHOULD ALL USE OXI-CLEAN!!!!!! Why you might as? TO CLEAN IT UP!!!!!!biggrinbiggrinbillymays2[1].jpg

Today, I played a game that simulates the theory (Natural Selection) Charles' Darwin came up with. Not to brag , but I survived 1 million years on my first try. I must be pretty awesome but then again it wasn't that hard as all you had to do was pick 3 animals with a variety of traits that would most likely survive the drastically changing simulated environment. But being awesome probably had something to do with it too.

Although technology is quite scarce during my time and my love for human interaction thrives, I tried this "Survival Game" on this "internet" where my population survived up to one million years. This game may have helped me teach my students at St. Mary's High School for Girls'. From what I learned from this game where a population of a certain species is trialed in various obstacles to keep the population growing and going, natural selection shows the gradualism of a population through a diversity of traits being passed down biologically in order for survival, and this process is incited for Evolution. Charles Darwin, whom I have previously shared my thoughts on, shared such scientific theory. Once I said "To keep a lamp burning we have to keep putting oil in it", it is equivalent to saying " To keep a population going we have to keep diversifying by traits to keep on". I also believe God has given this opportunity for us to be here on Earth and to keep this race going.

I just finished playin' this natural selection game and my little Shaqlings survived 1,000,000 years. It wasn't easy either. First, it was hot, my babies stood strong like a Shaqtus. Next, there was a beast, but he couldn't handle the beastlyness of my babies you know what I'm sayin'. Then, there was an asteroid, and I couldn't use a life preserver, but I guess my babies found the Shaq within and survived. I taught them so well. Even though I don't like Darwin (his voice), we celebrated the survival. This game wasn't easy either, I had to select traits to help the Shaqlings survive, like real life evolution. That tells you how amazing, intellegent, and legendary I am. I guess I'm just a natural at natural selecting.

hm hm.

Oh ya, no beats the Shaqtus.

Hey. My animals lived 888,888 years. It is easy to live if you have been through Vietnam. Natural selection is shown in this game because only certain animals with certain traits lived and passed on that specific time period. The animals with the unfavorable traits got killed off, just like we kill off all the ducks that i see when i have my gun nearby. i swear that i have seen some of those animals in Nom.

Man I just finished playing this natural selection survival game and my cute little furry guys only survived 333,333 years! The game must have been rigged! I mean you would the think that the cutest ones would survive the longest, but I guess thts just not how natural selection works. Everything was going so well for them until the big monster came and gobbled them up. They just didn't stand a chance with their adorable stubby little legs and nice plain fur coat. In the ideal world, the best looking animals should survive the longest not the most fit for their environment, but I guess if that was the case everybody would look like me.

Well I just played this interesting game.  I guess it explained natural selection, but I just thought it to be common sense.  I started off with different looking animals but they intermingled and created ones that were completely different than the originals.  As the environment changed, I needed to have different characteristics in my animals that could help them deal with the changing surroundings. This shows survival of the fittest.   My species survived a million years.  The good Lord did not make all animals the same for a reason.  This short game reinforced what I already knew, and now… I can get back to my music.  Hey, maybe I can add those Darwin noises into my next song.  Add to that mystic Rock ‘N Roll!

This game explains natural section, by showing you ancient bird interaction. My population survived by my choice of birds, I chose a variety thinking of Darwin’s words.  If your animal has the best and most favorable features, then they reproduce and the offspring have them, I learned that from my teachers.  I started as a pro at this game. Though it may sound slighly lame, I had so much fun while playing, I think I might play again just saying.

In the Natural Selection Game, my species survived for one million years.  This game shows how natural selection works in that different traits in a species make organisms with those traits either more resilient or more likely to die off in their enviornment.  Also, more distinctive traits that are present in a species make it more likely to survive, since there is a greater likelihood that at least a part of the species will survive in a different enviornment.

1,000,000 years

I have just had the oppurtunity to understand the process of natural selction through a common jest of the modern age. The idea of this jest was to have one's species survive 1,000,000 years, a trifle which I had accomplished, through differences and genetic mutations which allow the particular species of avis bird to change over time, making them more adept at surviving in their everchanging environment. It was a contest in which only the most superior of the species could survive and reproduce, thus passing their traits onto their offspring. Once again, my idea of inequality and superiority has been proven correct, only the most adept will survive.

Well that game was interesting. A bunch of weird looking animals popped up and I had to pick from them. My animals really didn't like the cole weather so they died. As the game progressed though my animals changed every few thousand years just like natural selection.

What? that's crazy, only 555,555 years? I guess this shows Natural selection, because sometimes the weather would change and the little creatures who are most adapted for that habitat would live longer. Also not to mention the beast, he was like rawr, and he aso killed off most of the creatures unless they had long legs then they could runaway easier and survive longer and then give those long legs to thier children. Since the habitat favored some or the creatures some would call it natural selection.

Yayy!!! 1,000,000 years!! That was a fun little game(: it did a swell job representing natural selection because only the fittest if the animals survived, while all the other poor little animals died )': but you know.. Survival of the fittest. I wonder if this is where that phrase came from?
