Mrs. Palin, I would just like to ask, where did come upon this information? You must look at the facts, and not just have you sights closed to what you're religion says, just because you are educated on a topic, does not mean you have to agree with it. For example, you are educated on Democratic politics, but just because you are educated about them, does not make you a democrat.

Mr. Einstein, I don't think you know very much about me. Actually, I know very little about Democratic politics! Just kidding, but what I do know is that I'd rather have faith that God created the Earth 6,000 or some years ago now and possibly be wrong after I die with no consequence than deny the fact now and be punished in the afterlife. Personally, I don't mind anyone else believing in the Earth being created 4.6 billion years ago, as long as their okay with spending their afterlife with the devil!

I totally like agree with this!! I mean it might not be exact but it is probably pretty darn close based on all the research that scientists have done!! If other people think that the earth formed 200,000 years ago that is cool too. I may not completely agree, but I totally respect what everyone thinks!!

Regan from one president to another I completely agree with you there is no way we can know for sure. By the way when you were president the soviets did not get a time travel device right, because that would be the only other way we could no know for sure.

Now, I'm not much of a scientist, but I have to agree with the evidence behind that. Crocs have hardly change from their ancestors in the Cretaceous period over 65 million years ago. They evolved from the Phytosaurs, which look similar to crocodiles except the nostrils are on the top of the head. A later ancestor is the Stomatosuchus. Its HUGE croc, but thankfully mate, it eats krill and plankton. The ancestry of crocs date back to over 200million years, so i cant argue with that mate.

The Earth was most likely formed 4.6 billion years ago, i agree with this because it has tons of scientific evidence to back it. As a baptist pastor I teach that God created the Earth and all of the organsims on it. THis is what i believe in as a person. The Earth ay have been here but it is thanks to God that any life is here.

With my short education, my opinion probably isn't the most reliable...but I agree with this statement. There is much evidence that has been proved by them scientists and what not yo. The earth has chanced a lil since then tho'. Like all these continents use to be one big continent and there are fossils of the same species found on many of earth's newly developed 7 continents.

Um.....I agree with this statement because.... Um.....there is plenty of scientific evidence to support this idea. The scientists researched for a very long time to understand this concept.

Considering that I am a marketing genius and the CEO of one of the biggest corporations in the world, I really couldn't care less when or how the Earth was formed. I will give my two cents though. Just about all of the scientific evidence on this topic suggest that the earth was formed about that long ago. I am actually very impressed on how much the Earth and its organisms have changed through this time period. NASA and National Geographic apps should be great if you want more info. Even though they have a bunch of stuff to back wit up its still a guesstimation or whateva they call it. I, Wayne Micheal Carter Jr., believe that I have to agree withe these dudes though cause they're a lot smarter than me and know what theyre doing. Hehehe I bet you thought I was gonna disagree biggrin. Hehe Weezy still loves y'all. TRUCKFIT!

I'm pretty sure the Earth was formed 4.6 billion years ago. I'm not very religious so I'm not sure if God created this universe (sorry if I made some of my fans mad :( I love you guys :)). The reason I believe Earth was created 4.6 billion years ago is because when the universe was just dust and gas, it piled up into planets over several million years.

HI BILLY MAYS HERE! I DON'T BELIEVE THAT THE EARTH WAS FORMED 4.6 BILLION YEARS AGO! DO SCIENISTS HONESTLY THINK THAT IS ACCURATE? IT TAKES A LOT TO PROVE THAT KIND OF POINT AND I JUST DON'T THINK SCIENTISTS HAVE WHAT IT TAKES.

I must agree Mr. Jobs, I for one have no particular interest in the formation of something so long ago. But what do you mean by the terms: "CEO" and "NASA" and "APP"? Are these more of you gentlemans' modern day "slangs" as you call it? My, how has the world evolved...

I think this statement is true, because scientists have been researching the formation of the world, and you know...scientists are smart hmm. Now

that i think about it, it doesnt really matter whether the statement is true or not because, as a religious person, i believe you should not question the

beautiful creations of God. aww

As the Pontifex Maximus, the highest priest of the Romans, I believe that the Earth, or Terra the Roman godess of the Earth, was born out of Chaos. How long ago that was I do not know, but 4.6 billion years seems like a reasonable amount of time.

Indeed Dr.King from a religious stand point Earth was probably created by a supernatural force much greater then us humans. But,then again I was made a god after I died.

Okay..science...not my thing. Creatively it would make a better movie if it was some sort of higher power that created everything like religion nuts like to thing but I've got to give my points the the science nerds. It's much more likely that the world was formed 4.6 billion years ago by the big bang than some weird higher power. I mean come on...they make the world and then abondon it like it's nothing! Thats cruel.

I can agree with that statement. There is a significant amount of information that shows that the Earth really was formed 4.6 million years ago. If you disagree with the science behind it, where is your basis of argument if you don't have science to back you up? Whether you believe in any sort of supernatural being or not, you must look at the facts, and look beyond what your religion tells you. You should educate yourself on a topic, even if your religion doesn't agree with it.

Of course the Earth is 4.6 billion years old. How do I know that? Because scientists have proven it through their research. How do the scientists know? They use a little thing called radiometeic dating to determine the age of the Earth.

I do not support this statement because of the terms "formed" and "4.6 billion years ago." God CREATED the earth many years ago. However by tracking the bible, you find it less than 4.6 billion years. Scientists have gotten a lot right, but it doesn't seem plausible to me that you can determine age from the evidence which they receive. Being a devoted Christian, I believe that God is the reason for the earth being created, and we may only have a guess of when it was formed.

Here's the deal, Mr. Burton. First off, not all Christians act like complete fools as Billy Mays here is doing, so don't conjure up an image of him as your ideal Christian. Second of all, tell me how this research works. Tell me how a little device, a little math, and a little rock can give you the age of the earth. I'm not trying to push this down your throat; I'm just trying to give you reasons that you might be wrong. Please do take this into consideration as I have taken others' thoughts into consideration.

I agree with Mr Reagan. We Chrisitans are not trying to force others to beleieve in what we worship. We only want to state our opinion and how we feel abouit this stataement of the earth forming 4.6 billion years ago.

It seems logical to believe the earth was formed 4.6 billion years ago. Although i was taught growing up that god created the earth scientist have enough information to conclude the earth formed around that time.

Hey, Regan, where did you get your opinions, the toilet store? Anyways, that is a perfectly resonable conclusion, I think the scientists know all about the science involved determining how old the earth is, after all science is in their name.

I will have to refute this statement. I am religious and feel that god did create earth. In the chance that he did not how do scientist expect to know when earth was formed it is not as if they were there. That is unless the nazi's did complete that time travel device and went back in time and found out, but that's impossible when defeated them before they could make it work.

Dear Diary,

My mother told me a bed time story about how the Earth didn’t have humans, plants, or animals billions of years ago. Thank god they didn’t have Nazis… she was telling me how the Earth formed 4.6 billion years ago. That is quite a span of time! I would definitely support this statement because scientists have analyzed fossils in a way that can help us estimate the different layers of rock. The ways to date fossils include relative and radioactive methods. Radiometric dating has been used to determine the age of the Earth. The Earth was originally very violent and hot but eventually cooled downed to form continents and rain. The Earth took time to fully develop and that is why it took billions of years for our planet to be a suitable habitat for organisms. So I know that telling you about the Earth’s formation is quite a bore, diary, but I must do it or mother will yell at me. Anyway, I am going to sleep. Hopefully, I’ll have a dream about hearing that the world war is over… but then I’ll wake up and realize I am still living in this torture chamber… More tomorrow.

Love,

               Anne
